History
The Touraine was formerly an elegant residential hotel built in 1917 and designed by Frederick Webber. Redeveloped by Spruce Street Commons in 2012, we took great care to maintain its original details and now manage it with respect for the past and an eye to serving the modern resident. With a timeless atmosphere – these light-filled, upscale apartments in Rittenhouse Square feature hand-carved mantels, hardwood oak floors, original leaded glass, and French doors.
