We’re excited to showcase and highlight a staple in our community—our neighbors and friends over at Spruce Market. Spruce Food Market, well known for its bright red neon signage, has been an integral piece of the Rittenhouse neighborhood since the 1950s. The Annex and The Touraine are conveniently located across the street from Spruce Market, making it easy for our residents, travel apartment visitors, and staff to buy craft beer, small bites, and more.

More Than a Market

Spruce Food Market has just about everything you could think of such as household goods and essentials, fresh produce and dry goods, and a large variety of craft beer and spirits. It’s the perfect place to stop by for a mid-day lunch break or to pick up groceries for dinner. In the warmer months, you can find a variety of beautiful flowers and bouquets on display outside as well as local fruits and vegetables to shop from.

What’s really unique about Spruce Food Market is the wide selection of craft beer and beverages. Here you’ll find 6-packs, 4-packs, 750ml beer bottles, and more from local breweries, and beverage companies nationwide. As you enter the market, you’re welcome to browse through aisles filled with snacks such as chips, crackers, and candy, and household goods like dustpans, cleaning supplies, and toiletries. Food is available for purchase such as breakfast sandwiches, subs, and wraps.

A Local Staple in Center City

Whether you’re visiting Philly for the first time, just recently moved to the neighborhood, or have been a Philadelphian since day one, we hope you get to visit and experience this beloved small business. Spruce Food Market is open daily from 8:00am-8:00pm and is located at 1523 Spruce Street.
